Pine and Poinsettias

Do you ever buy panels and then years later they are still sitting there waiting to be incorporated into a project?  I must admit I am guilty of that.  I have one with beautiful spring tulips on it that I have planned on making into a spring wall hanging for what, maybe five years!!  Or, perhaps you have shied away from panels because the scale is too large and the finished wall hangings will not work in your decorating scheme.

Here is a Timeless Treasures Pine and Poinsettia  panel that can be used in many ways to make quick gifts or decorations for your home and won’t end up in the “what to do with it” stack.

Here is what I have done with one panel.  I cut apart the separate graphics and added some borders in coordinating fabric.  So far, I have made two small wall hangings and still have a sufficient number of pieces to make two more wall hangings or another wall hanging and a small table runner.

This is a quick, easy, and economical way to make holiday decorations for your own home or as gifts.  I could even imagine combining several of these panels into a lap quilt or even a small bed quilt, putting the larger graphics in the center and the smaller ones around them.  Some generous sashing and borders would complete the look.
